The formula
Weight (lb) = cubic feet × 150, where cubic feet = L(ft) × W(ft) × (T_in ÷ 12) × quantity

The tool assumes standard normal-weight concrete at 150 pounds per cubic foot, which equals about 4,050 pounds per cubic yard. Lightweight mixes weigh less and are handled separately.
Worked examples
Example 1: 10 x 10 ft slab, 4 in thick
- Cubic feet = 10 × 10 × (4 ÷ 12) = 33.33 ft³
- Weight = 33.33 × 150 = 5,000 lb
- Tons = 5,000 ÷ 2,000 = 2.5 tons
- Kilograms = 5,000 × 0.4536 = 2,268 kg
Result: 5,000 lb (2.5 tons / 2,268 kg)
Example 2: One full cubic yard of concrete
- 1 yd³ = 27 ft³
- Weight = 27 × 150 = 4,050 lb
- Tons = 4,050 ÷ 2,000 = 2.03 tons
- Kilograms = 4,050 × 0.4536 = 1,837 kg
Result: 4,050 lb (2.03 tons / 1,837 kg)
